Hotel Description: On entering the hotel, one cannot help but be consumed by the impressive lobby. Its towering pyramid ceiling and individually designed columns carry the Eden Rock trademark motifs. Hanging low from the ceilings are intricately crafted lanterns, which like most items in the hotel also have their own story. An original antique lantern was found in an auction and each replica was painstakingly reproduced by hand . A swooping spiral staircase encircles an impressive grandiose column and takes you to the upper floor and the hotel's 77 exclusive rooms.

The embodiment of Klimt's old Vienna is carried through in the design of the rooms, right down to the linen, towels and even the room keys. The colour scheme has been carefully chosen to create a soothing yet stimulating mixture. The dominant colour is a clear yellow-beige, giving the rooms a glowing quality. Accents are in burgundy adding dynamic touches to the otherwise calm atmosphere . Interestingly all interiors, including the dramatic fabrics were either sourced or especially commissioned in Egypt.
